Andermatt Canada Announces Extended Shelf Life for Bassidor®, Strengthening Sustainability in Greenhouse Pest Management

Bassidor A concentrated wettable powder formulation of the entomopathogenic fungus, Beauveria bassiana which infects and kills various agricultural insect and mite pests. It is non-toxic, residue free and may be used right up to harvest.​

Hanwell, New Brunswick – January 2025 – Andermatt Canada is pleased to announce that the Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has approved an extension of the shelf life for Bassidor®, containing Beauveria bassiana strain R444 (Reg. No. 34656), from 6 months to 24 months. This milestone significantly enhances the usability and sustainability of this leading biological pest control product.


Bassidor® is Eco-Cert Certified and currently registered for use in greenhouses across various crop groups, providing an effective, environmentally friendly solution for managing whiteflies and two-spotted spider mites. This product exemplifies Andermatt Canada’s commitment to offering innovative, biologically based solutions that prioritize both productivity and ecological stewardship in Canadian agriculture.
